#47: Taylor Simpson, Founder & CEO at The Halo App, on Social Entrepreneurship, Overcoming Failure, and Raising Funds for Your Company

Taylor Simpson's entrepreneurial spirit emerged when he was just seven years old and launched his first business – an art studio (selling crayon masterpieces for a few dollars). When that didn’t pan out, he moved on, undeterred, to businesses such as a graphic design company and other garage ventures, all before college.
Using experience gained from the failure and success of his first 3 technological ventures, Taylor now serves as CEO of The Halo App, a marketplace lending platform that is sure to jar the landscape of lending and transform the way people define being free. He leads with special intentions to help create a company culture that infuses the science of happiness into its business model.
Taylor is a graduate of Ball State University’s college of Architecture and Planning. He lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife and business partner, and their new baby girl.
