#79: Jad Esber on Leaving Google for Harvard, Starting a Business While Getting an MBA, and Engineering Serendipity

Jad Esber is a Sainsbury's Management Fellow & MBA Candidate at Harvard Business School, also leading the entrepreneurship club on campus and working as a Venture Capital Fellow sourcing and advising local startups for Bay Area-based Pear VC.

For the summer of 2019, Jad had a Fellowship @ Lightspeed Ventures, starting a new company he'll continue to work on during the MBA.

Originally a Cambridge-educated Mechanical Engineer that delved into the world of online video content to work on developing the content creator ecosystem in emerging markets @ YouTube.

While at YouTube, Jad pitched a curation product idea that he ended up working on as an acting Product Manager, before moving to spearhead Strategy & Operations efforts across Europe, Middle East & Africa on the B2B Product Marketing team @ Google. Outside of work, Jad co-founded a registered volunteer-run charity that reaches 50,000 young people to foster innovation in the Middle East.
