The Boundless Imagination of Walt Disney

How Walt Disney Created an Entertainment Empire

Hey! Justin here, and welcome to Just Go Grind, a newsletter sharing the lessons, tactics, and stories of world-class founders!

A Few Updates

First, apologies for the delay with this edition. There was a lot to cover with Walt Disney and no way I could do it in a week.

Second, I’m partnering with Athyna. They’ve helped everyone from solo entrepreneurs to billion-dollar companies with their hiring needs. I’ve recently gotten to know the team and am excited to work with them!

Finally, I’m working on something to bring ambitious people together.

My home base is Los Angeles, but I’m in the early stages of planning get-togethers in various cities.

My initial vision?

Offer a variety of experiences, frequently, for ambitious people to come together.

More to come on that soon, but in the meantime, if you’re interested in attending (Or getting involved) please fill out this quick survey:

Walt Disney

Walt Disney needs no intro.

He’s a legend. An American Icon. A world-builder.

I’ve wanted to write about him since I started Just Go Grind, but the task always seemed too daunting to do in a week.

It was.

In the last 3 weeks, I read two books about him for my research, Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination by Neal Gabler and Disney's Land: Walt Disney and the Invention of the Amusement Park That Changed the World by Richard Snow.

They were great.

After reading over 1,000 pages about Walt and cutting this piece from more than 21,000 words to around 10,000, it’s time to share his remarkable story.

Let’s get to it.
